We had to come back to Carrie Fisher and her mother, Debbie Reynolds. While both women looked very similar in their youth, their differences began to show with age. Both of these legendary actresses will always hold a special place in Hollywood history. Tragically they both died in 2016. On December 27 of 2016, Carrie Fisher suffered a heart attack that ultimately killed her. The very next day, Debbie Reynolds suffered a fatal stroke. We can’t help but think heartbreak may have played a role in her sudden death.

Carrie Fisher was instrumental in transforming the Sci-Fi movie genre with her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars Franchise. She also instantly caught the attention of an entire generation of young boys in her famous golden bikini scene with Jabba the Hutt. She would later reprise her role as Princess Leia in the new Disney Star Wars movies. Fisher’s influence on the Sci-Fi genre simply cannot be overstated.
