She Loves Mars
Alyssa was immediately smitten with the planet. She loved to watch videos of the rovers landing and to look at her map of Mars. Her parents even got her a telescope to help feed her curiosity. After all, scientific curiosity is a good thing, right? She has dedicated her life so far to the research of Mars and hopes that it can help her achieve her dreams.
Her Love Of Mars Only Grew
Space Camp
Always wanting to help feed his daughter’s curiosity, Bert took Alyssa to Huntsville, Alabama, when she was 7-years old to go to the NASA Space Camp offered in the city. The program is offered by NASA at the actual former launch site, which is now used as a research and production facility. Needless to say, she was thrilled. This only inspired her to pursue Mars even more.
