As reported byThe New Yorker, when Donald met Melania in 1998 during New York Fashion Week, he asked for her phone number. Since he was there with another date, Melania refused. However, being the persistent man that he is, he didn’t give up. In the end, Melania took his phone number instead of giving him hers, so that she could be in control of the situation as she pleased.
