Maya Rudolph And Minnie Riperton – Age 29
Minnie Riperton was a singer and songwriter before her untimely death in 1979. She was best known for her song Lovin’ You and her five-octave coloratura soprano vocal range. She was also famous for her use of whistle registers and was even known as the Queen of Whistle Registers. Sadly, she died at the age of 31 after breast cancer had spread to her lymph node system. Her daughter, Maya Rudolph, was only seven at the time.

Maya Rudolph would first rise to prominence in the 1990s with her band The Rentals. Later in the decade, she went on to join The Groundlings improv group. In the year 2000, she got a role as a cast member on the sketch comedy Saturday Night Live. After her TV appearance, she went on to play several supporting roles, including 50 First Dates, the Adam Sandler RomCom, about a woman with short-term memory loss.
